A fraternal meeting of Cuban residents in Ankara was held at the headquarters of the Cuba-Türkiye Friendship Association. The First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Türkiye, Oscar Redondo Ramos made a brief presentation on the results of the IV Conference "The Nation and Emigration" which coincided with the 45th anniversary of the first dialogue in 1978, promoted by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and which marked a milestone in the process of rapprochement between Cuba and the Cuban community abroad.
The Cuban diplomat also gave an update on relevant aspects of the Cuban reality such as the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States and its impact on Cuban families who are deprived of access to services and basic products as a result of this economic war.
The participants expressed their support for Cuba in the difficult times the nation is going through and expressed their desire to hold other meetings like this one that will allow them to strengthen unity among Cubans based on the love for their roots.
Turkish friends of the friendship association also participated in the meeting and we thank them once again for their support for the realization of joint activities.
