Abuja, January 9, 2026. — The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, held a meeting with the CEO of the Nisa Premier Group, Dr. Ibrahim Wada, at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission, in an atmosphere of cordiality and constructive dialogue.
During the meeting, Dr. Wada expressed his firm interest in continuing to strengthen cooperation relations with Cuba, with particular emphasis on the importation of Cuban medicines to Nigeria and on advancing medical cooperation between both countries. In his remarks, he highlighted the prestige and recognized quality of Cuban pharmaceutical products, as well as their potential to contribute to strengthening the Nigerian health system.
For her part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba expressed her appreciation for the constant support, commitment, and closeness that Dr. Wada has historically maintained with the Cuban people, as well as for his recognition of the quality, effectiveness, and reliability of the products and services that Cuba offers in the field of health.
The role of Dr. Ibrahim Wada as one of the pioneers of cooperation between Cuba and Nigeria, particularly in the health sector, was also highlighted, underscoring his contribution to closer ties and to the development of joint initiatives between the two nations.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual interest in advancing concrete actions aimed at consolidating and expanding medical and pharmaceutical cooperation, for the benefit of the well-being of the peoples of Cuba and Nigeria.
Also present on the Cuban side was the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot.
