Meeting with intellectual and political scientist Sandew Hira.

The Hague, February 5, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker held a meeting with intellectual and political scientist Sandew Hira. 

During a pleasant exchange, she highlighted the priority Cuba gives to international law and respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter. They exchanged perspectives on the complex international situation and highlighted the illegality of the oil embargo against the island.  

The meeting provided an opportunity to continue discussing possible actions by intellectuals in the Netherlands in defense of the principles of international law and the sovereignty and independence of Cuba.
