The ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernandez, held a meeting with the main figures of the Nation's Future Party. Ashraf Rashad Al-Sherif, Chairman of the Party, participated in the meeting; Hossam ElKhouly, General Secretary of the Party; Tariq al-Khouli, Secretary General of the Party's Foreign Affairs, as well as other officials of the Latin American Department of the Party's Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. On the Cuban side he accompanied the Ambassador, Councilor Dennis Casares Benítez, official of the Cuban Mission.

The President of the Future of the Nation emphasized the aspiration to strengthen relations between both countries and the importance they place on social responsibility in the future of a country. The interest to establish cooperation with Cuba in the field of health was highlighted, for the benefit of the African continent especially in the current context in which Egypt is at the head of the African Union. The achievements of Cuba in the fields of health and education and the importance of being able to benefit from these experiences were highlighted.
The Cuban Ambassador reiterated the interest in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, especially in the framework of the 70th anniversary of bilateral relations, as well as the Cuban government's willingness to cooperate with the Egyptian people and government.
The occasion was propitious to exchange with the participants about the increasing escalation of hostility and aggressiveness of the US administration. and the harmful effects of the blockade for the Cuban people.
