Abuja, January 24, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero held a fruitful meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tugar.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Cuba expressed her gratitude for Nigeria's constant support for the fight waged by the people and government of Cuba against the unjust blockade imposed by the United States of America and the inclusion in the spurious list of sponsoring countries of the terrorism. On the other hand, the Nigerian foreign minister referred to the special relationship that exists between Cuba and the countries of the African continent. He mentioned the island's selfless contribution to Nigeria and Africa.
Likewise, other topics of bilateral interest regarding economic, banking, biotechnology and health sectors were addressed.
Third Secretary Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot was also present on the Cuban side.
