SRI LANKA, April 18, 2017. - As part of activities developed by the official of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) during her working visit to Sri Lanka, Yexenia Calzado Rosa, a fruitful meeting was held with the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba in the Headquarter of that legislative body.
During the meeting, the Honorable Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Science, Technology and Research of Sri Lanka, who also chairs this Parliamentary Group, highlighted the historic ties of friendship between both countries, as well as the achievements made by Cuba in the fields of health, education and scientific-technical development. An important space was also devoted to highlighting the work of the Commander in Chief as a world-class leader.
Also participating in the meeting were the President of the Friendship Association Sri Lanka - Cuba, Dinesh Gunawardena, officials of the Embassy of Cuba and members of the Friendship Association.
