The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernandez held a meeting with General Mohamed Soultan, President of the Specialized Parks of the Cairo Governorate at its headquarters in the International Park, one of the largest green areas in the country, with a space of 55 acres and a representation of plants from different countries.
During the meeting with the ambassador of Cuba, the collaboration agenda between both institutions was arranged in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Cuba and Egypt, as well as future actions so that the Cuban flora is also represented in this park.
According to General Soultan's comments, the International Park, located in one of the busiest areas of the municipality of Nasr City, has 265 varieties of plants from various regions of the world and receives more than 1 million visitors each year. During the Pharaonic Easter the Egyptians go out to enjoy the parks and only that day they receive 65 thousand visitors.
The park also has a small zoo to transmit to the children the care of the animals and an amusement park of 2500 meters is currently under construction.
