Today, 26 December, members of the Barbados-Cuba Friendship and Solidarity Association and the Caribbean Movement for Peace and Integration signed a declaration of support for an end to the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
With the performance of children and young people from the Haynesville community project and the participation of residents of this community, located in the Parish of St. James, the inaugural ceremony of the KWANZAA Festival was held, an event in which this declaration condemning the genocidal policy of the US blockade imposed on the Cuban people and calling for Cuba to be removed from the List of alleged State Sponsors of Terrorism was unveiled.
The officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Barbados attended this meeting in which the members of the Cuba solidarity movement, the Second of Mission of the Venezuelan Business Office in Barbados and members of the Barbadian community signed the declaration, consciously identifying themselves with this just cause.
