Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Istanbul sign the book of condolences in honor of the fallen combatants during the U.S. military operation against Venezuela.

Members of the Consulate General in Istanbul, headed by the Consul General, Raúl E. Madrigal Cárdenas, paid a visit today to the Consulate General of Venezuela in this city to sign the Book of Condolences in honor of the combatants who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people in the face of the attacks perpetrated by the armed forces of the United States on January 3, 2026, when the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores took place.

The Cuban officials expressed the deep solidarity of the Cuban people and government with the victims and their families, as well as with the Venezuelan nation in this time of sorrow. They also highlighted the importance of unity and respect for the sovereignty of the peoples, as well as the defense of international law.
