Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Cuba pay tribute to the 32 Cubans killed in combat in Venezuela.
Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Cuba paid tribute today to the 32 Cubans who died in the line of duty during the criminal aggression perpetrated by the United States against the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on January 3, in which the aggressor forces of the United States kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores.
We appreciate this gesture of solidarity from the diplomatic missions accredited in our country, who, in paying tribute to our internationalist combatants, heroes of yesterday and martyrs of today, demonstrate that Cuba is not alone, that we have the solidarity and support of the peoples of the world and the majority of governments, those who, with coherence and wisdom, respect the right of peoples to defend their sovereignty and proclaim the international law to maintain peace and respect borders, as well as condemn interference in the internal affairs of States, the only possible way to preserve our planet and humanity.
