Memoirs of the 6th International Meeting of Cartoonists in Cairo

At the 6th International Meeting of Cartoonists held in Cairo from July 6 to 11, 2019, Cuba had three presentations of its graphic humor in different spaces of the event, conducted by the Cuban artist Aristides Guerrero "Ares".

During the inauguration of the event on July 7 at the Al Amir Taz Palace, works by Cuban authors Yoemnis del Toro, Brady Izquierdo and "Ares" were exhibited.
Two days later at the Goethe Institute, "Ares", offered talks about his work and developed a creative workshop. Subsequently, the artist inaugurated the exhibition "Caricatures of Cuba" that will remain open until July 21, 2019 in the Tahrir Lounge of the Institute itself.

During his presentation, the artist culminated with a sample of his technique drawing a caricature of his own, "Ares" expressed: "The cartoons are like an iceberg: people only see the top ... The more things the artist has inside his head, the better his caricature will be. "
Throughout the 6th International Meeting of Cartoonists could be seen in addition to the most recent works of "Ares", works of the Cuban cartoonists Zardoyas, Adam, Falco, Martirena, Del Toro, Brady, Boligan, Moro, Luirri, Laz, Andez, Tamayo, Tomy and Hayden.
