THE BAHAMAS, 24 April 2017. -Cuba participated in the third IAAF World Relays held in Nassau, The Bahamas, on 22 and 23 April.
With the presence of 9 young athletes, the Cuban delegation was inserted in the modalities of 4x100 and 4x400 meters of men's relief.
In the men's 4x100 category, Cuba was left to reach the thirteenth place with a time of 39.67 seconds.
Meanwhile, in the category of men’s 4x400, the Cuban athletes made it to the finals and reached the fifth place, with a time of 3:03.84 minutes. The United States (3:02:13) led the race, followed by Botswana (3:02.28) and Jamaica (3:02.86).
During the welcoming of the delegation at the Nassau airport, by the Ambassador of Cuba in The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter and the Second Secretary Vanesa Ortega, the athletes expressed their commitment to deliver the best of them on the track and they did so during the event.
