The Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica Mayor General Antonio Maceo (ACREJ), wishes to express its solidarity with the personnel of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Washington DC, in view of the terrorist attack perpetrated on Sunday, September 24 by alleged counterrevolutionary elements.
This is the second attack to take place, after the shooting with an AK-47 rifle against the façade of the Cuban Embassy in Washington, carried out by the Cuban-American citizen Alexander Alazo on April 30, 2020.
The carrying out of these violent acts, apparently exclusively against the Cuban mission in Washington, do not seem to be casual, but rather provoked by the atmosphere of aggression and hostility that characterises US policy against Cuba, and the intense campaign developed by Cuban counterrevolutionary groups, especially in Florida, the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade and the spurious inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries promoting international terrorism.
The ACREJ demands the immediate and unconditional end of the economic blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries promoting terrorism, as initiatives towards the normalisation of relations between the two countries, regardless of the political and other differences existing between the governments of the United States of America and the Republic of Cuba.
і Viva Cuba Libre !
і Hasta la Victoria Siempre !
