Message from the Friendship Association with Cuba in Norway on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

January 1st is the day the Cuban People mark the 63rd anniversary of their revolution. For us in the solidarity movement is an extra important day to mark and be proud of.

Since the triumph of the revolution in 1959, Cuba has stood firm with its principles and the struggle for “another world is possible", even during the pandemic that still affects our every single day.

While the empire has used the whole pandemic to further aggravate Cuba with economic war and all other sabotage and provocation as we saw in the protests of July 11th, Cuba has stood by its principles and followed the international call that the world, as the situation still is, is dependent on extensive international cooperation across governments and ideologies. This shows Cuba is possible, not only through empty words, but first and foremost through putting its solidarity into action.

In addition to assisting up to 40 countries with several thousand doctors, Cuba is today at the top of Latin America and 2nd place in the world in vaccination against COVID-19 with its own developed vaccines. This is not a unique effort that comes by itself, but first of all, by the love, motivation and commitment Cuban scientists carry for their homeland and by the values of the Revolution.

The Cuban Revolution is once again entering a new year with great experiences and achievements that will strengthen the unity of the Cuban people against all forces that are actively trying to destabilize it. History has shown us that the Cuban people are revolutionary and will never accept becoming a protectorate again. The Cuban people have the full solidarity of the Norwegian-Cuban Friendship Association.

We congratulate the Cuban People's Revolution and our comrades in the Cuba Embassy in Oslo and especially ICAP for its 61th anniversary.

Another World Is Possible

Hasta La Victoria Siempre!
