Message for July 26 from the Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas

Nassau, July 26th, 2020. 67 years ago, 152 men assaulted the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks. 82 fighters sailed to Cuba in November 1956, on a yacht designed for no more than 12 crew. With 7 rifles and a handful of fighters in Cinco Palmas, Fidel and his men were sure that they would win the war.
The courage, boldness and spirit of sacrifice of those moments must continue to guide Cubans today to build a prosperous, sustainable and socialist Cuba.
Only united, we Cubans will be able to overcome today's challenges, which are as immense and urgent as those faced by the Moncada fighters.
