On the occasion of your 91st Birthday, the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba extends to you, Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, its most sincere congratulations, on behalf of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban Government and people.
For nearly 60 years, Namibia and Cuba have built a strong relationship. Those bonds began under your and Fidel Castro´s leadership and were consolidated on the difficult years of the Namibian liberation struggle, when Namibian and Cuban blood was shed together.
Comrade Nujoma, you have always been an unconditional friend of Cuba and one of the strongest pillars of the solidarity with the Cuban Nation. Your voice has been raised uncountable time for demanding the total lifting of the United States Blockade against Cuba.
For those reason, alongside your birthday, Cuba celebrates your fruitful life, dedicated to fight for the independence and freedom of the countries of the Third World.
