The Solidarity Network with Latin America and the Caribbean RESOCAL expresses its tribute to the 63rd Anniversary of the Victory of Playa Girón in Cuba, sovereign and independent, in the face of the military invasion organized and executed by the North American government and its operators from the Pentagon and the CIA, to install a counterrevolutionary regime that is subservient to their imperialist interests.
The Revolutionary Armed Forces, the Militias, and the mobilization of the Cuban people, led by the always-remembered commander-in-chief Fidel Castro Ruz, managed to defeat the mercenary invasion on April 18, 1961, recorded in history as the first and great defeat of imperialism. Yankee in Latin America. Miami in the United States of America was the base of recruitment and training and continues to be the nest of the counterrevolution, organized and financed to continue supporting the criminal blockade of Cuba, causing the Cuban people great difficulties and material losses. Faced with this difficult situation, the worthy government of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, with the participation of all sectors of the population represented in the Assembly of Popular Power, has been taking a series of measures, seeking solutions to the negative effects of the constant aggressions by the North American government.
We reiterate our full support and solidarity with socialist Cuba. The firm combat decision taken in Playa Girón remains in force; until the Final Victory, as Commander Fidel expressed it. We express our tribute and recognition of gratitude to the “Eternal Heroes of the Homeland”, who offered their lives to build a country free of capitalist exploitation, with social justice for all its inhabitants.
Those who died and fought in Playa Girón showed us the way to prevent imperialism and its neoliberal variant from continuing to plunder our people and usurp their natural resources.
With this historic and significant occasion, receive you and the diplomatic mission, our fraternal and revolutionary greetings.
