Athens, November 11. The General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) George Mavrikus, sent a solidarity greeting to the Cuban people, condemning the manipulations of the enemies of the revolution, the imperialist provocations and the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US against Cuba.

Cuban Brothers and Sisters
On behalf of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and its 105 million members who live and fight in 133 countries of the entire world, we send our firm and internationalist solidarity with the workers and the Cuban people.
We condemn the new manipulations promoted by enemies of the revolution in your country who are calling for a march for November 15 next and planning counterrevolutionary actions between November 12 and 15. They are people financed from abroad, who try to induce the destabilization of the country and its conquests. This follows the communication operation organized and financed from the US in the summer, which was intended to show a non-existent social outbreak in Cuba. This operation failed due to the support of the Cuban people for the revolution.
The world class trade union movement, the WFTU, reiterates to the Cuban workers and the CTC that they are not alone. We call on all trade union organizations that are members and friends of the World Federation of Trade Unions to strengthen their solidarity. We demand the lifting of the criminal blockade that for 60 years has generated serious difficulties in the economy and life of the Cuban people. A proud and supportive people, who even in difficult conditions, with the blockade and the pandemic, demonstrated that humanity, the great medical and scientific advances, the protection of the people and international aid, are their priorities and are being met.
Cuban workers, do not believe in the lies and defamations of the imperialists. Do not believe the puppets from Miami who are paid to defame Cuba.
Down with the imperialist provocations!
