Kingston, 17 May , 2024. Members of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica and more than 400 members of the Medical and Educational Brigades working in this country participated in the Meteoro 2024 exercise to deal with disaster situations.
As part of this exercise, the management of the State Mission specified the plans against natural, technological and epidemiological disasters. In addition, the personnel received theoretical preparation and were trained in the practical execution of actions to be taken in the event of earthquakes, hurricanes, heavy rains, fires and epidemics.
In the summary activity of the exercise, Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez acknowledged the preparedness demonstrated to act in each situation and the usefulness of the experiences gained throughout the process.
