The Minister of Education and Sports of Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mrs. Sengdeuane Lachanthaboune, accompanied by members of the Executive staff of her Ministry, received this afternoon the Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal.
At the meeting, they ultimate details for signing, in the near future, of two agreements in the fields of education and sports with the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education and the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), respectively.
Minister Sengdeuane recalled the assistance that Cuba has traditionally provided to her country, especially in the formation of human resources, while thanking for the 5 scholarships granted to Laos this year for medical studies in our country.
The Ambassador also took advantage of the meeting to give to the Minister, the invitation to the 7th International Convention of Physical Activity and Sports, AFIDE 2017, to be held this year in Havana, from November 20 to 24, expressing that it would be a magnificent opportunity for having the presence of delegates from this brother country.
