St George, January 31. At the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, the head of the sector, Honorable Dennis S. M. Cornwall and member of Parliament for the St Patrick East constituent, received the Cuban ambassador, Ivette Martínez Leyva. In a warm meeting, the diplomat talked about bilateral cooperation projects, still in a memorandum of understanding, but with prospects of being implemented this year. On another note, she congratulated him on the 50th anniversary of Independence and the good atmosphere generated in the country by the celebrations and commemorative activities.
For his part, Minister Cornwall commented on the results and economic growth of Grenada in 2023, as well as some infrastructure projects, to improve services and hotel construction that are being developed in the north of the country. He expressed his deep admiration and respect for Cuba and its professionals, considering himself among them as a graduate of Economics at the University of Pinar del Río.
