The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeppe Kofod, receives the Ambassadors of Latin America at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark.
The meeting was promoted by the Foreign Ministry to hold a Round Table on Climate, in which the high representative of Danish diplomacy presented the ambitions of government policy regarding the behavior of climate change on the planet, and the efforts made with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 70% for 2030.
The Ambassadors of Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Cuba, present at the meeting, presented their goals and purposes to make life on the planet less vulnerable.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Roger López, announced the purposes of Cuba enunciated in the “Life Task” through plans considered fundamental for the country's environmental protection policy. He stated that the main objective is to protect human life and the environment, increase energy efficiency, and the development of renewable energy sources, promoting less carbon-intensive economic development.
