The Honorable Sara Flood Beaubrun, Minister with responsibility for foreign affairs of Saint Lucia attended this weekend the V Biannual General Meeting of the Humanistic Association of Solidarity Cuba-Saint Lucia, dedicated on this occasion to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations bilateral between both countries. In her speech, the Minister highlighted the history of friendship and solidarity between the two nations. He also recognized Cuba's contribution to the social development of his country and, in particular in the health sector in which we had achieved a high level of cooperation and long-standing. Cuba has been an example of solidarity for many countries, he said, despite the adverse conditions of the blockade, and Cubans have managed to overcome and have never been defeated. Finally, he pointed out that Cuba had been more than a friendly country, but had always shown itself to be faithful to its positions, reliable and willing to support. He ratified Santa Lucia's friendship position with Cuba and the will to continue strengthening it.
