On August 16th Minister for Finance Grant Robertson hosted Latin American Ambassadors at his office in the Beehive. During the meeting the diplomats had the chance to be briefed on diverse policies from the Labour led government, being an important opportunity to gather information on issues of interest for their respective nations. It´s important to say that in many ways, New Zealand is an important reference for Latin America and both sides are looking on ways to increase ties.
Minister Grant Robertson also expressed his support for the Latin America & Spain Film Festival (LASFF), which he considered and important event in the mutual efforts to bring kiwis closer to that region. LASFF will kick off in Wellington on September 4th, with the screening of the Mexican film Illusions Ltd.
The Cuban Film, El Techo, will be screened at Massey University School of Creative Arts on Sunday September 9th at 4:00 pm.
