Grenada’s Minister of Health, Philip A. Telesford, recently welcomed Cuba’s Ambassador to the country, Yadirys Echenique Paz. During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
In this context, the Grenadian official acknowledged Cuba’s historic contribution to the training of health professionals and the deployment of medical brigades that have supported his country at decisive moments. The ambassador reaffirmed the Cuban authorities’ commitment to continue collaborating in technical assistance and training programs.
Minister Philip A. Telesford expressed his gratitude for Cuba’s solidarity and praised the work carried out by Cuban health professionals throughout years of medical cooperation.
Bilateral relations between Cuba and Grenada have extended across various sectors, but health has emerged as one of the most significant. The presence of Cuban doctors, the training of specialists, and the exchange of experiences have left a positive mark on Grenadian society.
