St George, May 7th. The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Economy of Grenada, Honorable Senator Adrian A. Thomas, accompanied by his advisor Naline Joseph and, Operations Manager of Creative Affairs Tracy Baptiste, participated in the FitCuba 2024 International Tourism Fair in Jardines del Rey, Cayo Coco. FitCuba 2024 was a great festival for the tourism sector, where its exhibitors showed the renewal of the Cuban tourism product, the digitalization of processes to improve the customer experience and the transformation of products with greater accessibility.
In order to expand collaboration in tourism, promote economic development and strengthen relations between peoples, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed within the framework of the fair for the development, promotion and marketing of tourist products from Cuba and Grenada. Both parties will help each other to increase the flow of tourists, and achieve exchange between tourism companies and entities. They also commit to strengthening mutual cooperation between Cuban tour operators and Grenadian travel agencies.
FitCuba 2024 had the participation of 1,537 foreign professionals, including 437 travel agents on a familiarization visit. In addition, 68 countries participated, including those from Latin America and the Caribbean, and among the most representative were Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia. 68 professionals from 12 countries reported from the specialized press.
