Kingston, Jamaica, 29 August 2019. The official ceremony to welcome the Cuban teachers who arrived in Jamaica on 27 August was held in this capital with a large participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education of Jamaica.
Doctor Sharon Anderson-Morgan, representing the Ministry, extended the gratitude of the Jamaican authorities to Cuban teachers, highlighted the importance of the work they carry out and commended the contribution of the Cuban Education Brigade to training at different levels of education in this Caribbean nation.
For her part, the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica welcomed the teachers once again. In just a few days, they will join several education centres of the Jamaican geography to contribute to the teaching of the Spanish language and other subjects.
