Victoria 25 February._ Members of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Seychelles participated in the Annual Diplomatic Cocktail organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Seychelles.
In his speech, Minister Sylvestre Radegonde, thanked the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as representatives of the offices of international organizations based in the country, for their continued support to Seychelles.
He emphasized that by adopting a position of non-alignment, Seychelles maintains on the international stage its principled commitment to independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and strongly upheld Seychelles' foreign policy principle of expressing its positions with respect and firmness, standing firm on matters of principle or disagreement, while preserving the integrity of its diplomatic relations.
On behalf of the members of the diplomatic corps, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Francesca Alexandra Azaïs, currently the dean of the diplomatic corps, thanked the staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs for their extraordinary support, for always being there to help us, facilitate our projects and foster cooperation for the welfare of the people of Seychelles.
In attendance were President Wavel Ramkalawan, Ambassadors and High Commissioners currently residing in Seychelles, as well as Ministers, Chief Secretaries, members of the National Assembly and other guests.
