Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Ghana against the blockade

The Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Ghana, amid the restrictions that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused, continue to demonstrate its support for the Caribbean island in its historic battle against the blockade.

The Socialist Forum of Ghana (SFG) and the All-African People's Revolutionary Party (A-APRP), issued two statements of support reiterating the illegality of the United States blockade against Cuba, and denouncing it as in the midst of the global confrontation against Covid-19 the current US administration continues its attempts to destroy Cuban independence. Both statements highlight Cuba's historic friendship with African peoples, and emphasize how Cuban health professionals combat Covid-19 in different parts of the world, including in Africa, which they describe as an expression of the continuity of internationalist ideology of the Cuban Revolution. The two statements were initially published on the WhatsApp platform of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Ghana, a space that became a place of digital exchange between friends of Cuba.

Also in the platform of solidarity with Cuba, expressions of support have been published from the Trades Union Congress Ghana (TUC-Ghana) and the Association of the Ghanaian graduates in Cuba (ESBECAN), which shows that solidarity is stronger than any pandemic, that solidarity with Cuba is alive. (Embacuba Ghana)
