My Signature for the Homeland

My Signature for the Homeland

Cuba today lives under the constant siege of the United States government, an intensified blockade, an extreme energy embargo that exacerbates the genocidal policy of the blockade, and a real threat of possible military intervention in our country. Faced with this collective punishment, our people offer the greatest challenge in history: resistance, and along with it, the preparation of the entire nation to defend the sovereignty of the Homeland, with arms if necessary. Since the Trump Administration's Executive Order was decreed to suffocate our economy and starve us to death, the response of our people has been even more stoic, as they continue to face the challenges of shortages in every task, every daily activity we undertake, and in the daily life of an entire nation.

We are heirs to a historical legacy, with Mambí and rebel blood in our veins, and we know how to honor the example and courage of our heroes and martyrs. That is the force that moves us, that identifies us, and that allows us to resist and advance in response to the call of the Homeland. Therefore, from our trench, the members of the Cuban State Mission in Barbados support the call made by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and with "My Signature for the Homeland!", we reaffirm his words that, "As long as there is a woman or a man willing to give their life for the Revolution, we will be victorious!"
