NAY PYI TAW, September 19, 2018.- The Minister of Health and Sports of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Dr. Myint Htwe, held a meeting with the concurrent ambassador of Cuba, Hector Conde Almeida.
In the cordial exchange, the good path of the bilateral relations was confirmed and the mutual desire to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both nations was reiterated.
The Minister presented the results of his attendance at the International Convention "Cuba-Health 2018", held in Havana from April 23 to 27, which constituted the first historical participation of a representation of that country in this type of events in our country.
The Minister and the Cuban diplomat valued bilateral and triangular cooperation actions and highlighted the potential of collaboration in the field of health within the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Both sides agreed on the importance of the promotion of South-South cooperation and the fulfillment of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
