Last Wednesday, November 2, Dr. Sen Pang, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Namibia, paid a courtesy visit to the Cuban ambassador on the occasion of the end of his mission.
At the meeting, Mr. Pang recognized the excellent work of the Cuban health personnel who collaborate in Namibia and in the rest of the countries of the African continent, expressing the will of the United Nations system, which he represents, to continue working with Cuba in the development of joint projects, especially in the area of health.
On his part, the Cuban ambassador gave a broad explanation to his interlocutor about the effects of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the US on Cuba, as well as about the imminent vote in the UN on the resolution condemning the blockade.
Also participating in the meeting were Carlos Fernández, principal official of the UN Coordination Office in Namibia, and Rodolfo Ricardo Guzmán, adviser in charge of political, economic, commercial, and collaboration affairs of the Cuban mission in Namibia.
