The National President of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana welcomes the Cuban Ambassador

The acting National President of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of Ghana, Hon. Freddie Blay, received at the party's headquarters the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, who paid a courtesy visit on him.

The Cuban diplomat made an update on economic, political and social development in Cuba, and the main steps taken with the guidance of the Communist Party of Cuba; Also addressed the issue of the process of re-establishing relations with the United States. He also answered several questions that were asked about the Caribbean island.

The meeting also recalled the ties that this party maintained with Cuba when they were in government and which led to the beginning of several cooperation actions in the country, such as the vector control program. The acting National President of the NPP expressed his interest in being able to visit Cuba.

In the meeting participated also, Mr. John Boadu, the current acting General Secretary, Organizing Secretary and Director of Operations of the NPP Campaign 2016, and Mr. Charles Dwamena, acting Finance and Administrative Director.

The NPP is the main opposition party in the country.
