National Rebellion Day celebrated in New Zealand

Wellington - Accompanied by members of the New Communist Party of Aotearoa, the Cuban embassy staff celebrated the 66th Anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons.

As part of the celebration of the National Rebellion Day, Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray highlighted the importance and significance of this date, while underlining the achievements made by the Cuban Revolution since its triumph in 1959.

The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to denounce the aggressive escalation of the US government against Cuba and address the vision of our country in relation to the situation in Latin America and other issues on the international agenda. The occasion was also conducive to ratify Cuba's firm and unchanging support for the Venezuelan people, despite the aggressions of the United States government and its allies.

The members of the New Communist Party of Aotearoa expressed their support and solidarity with the Cuban people, and their condemnation of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on the Island for more than 60 years. (Embacuba NZ)
