New Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas presents Copies of the Letters of Credence.

The new designated Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Julio César González Marchante, presented his Style Copies before the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alfred Michael Sears, Minister of Labor and Utilities.

The Minister warmly welcomed the Cuban diplomat and congratulated him on his appointment as the new Head of Mission in The Bahamas.

He addressed the historical ties that unite our peoples and recognized the legacy of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, for the world on issues such as education and health, among others, as well as the decisive contribution to the independence of several African countries. Likewise, he thanked the cooperation provided and that today the Island offers to The Bahamas and expressed his country's support for the battle against the blockade imposed on the Cuban people.

During the cordial meeting, both parties confirmed the positive state of bilateral relations and ratified their willingness to continue developing cooperation on issues of mutual interest, and also working together in regional and international organizations.

On behalf of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the Cuban diplomat conveyed greetings to his counterparts as well as an invitation to visit the country.
