New Bahamian students benefit from the scholarship program granted by Cuba

NASSAU, 6 August 2019.- The Cuban Embassy in The Bahamas served once again as the venue for the farewell ceremony for Bahamian students who benefited from the scholarship program that Cuba offers each year for Medical careers.

In the presence of family, friends and members of the diplomatic mission, students signed the Code of Ethics that governs the values ​​and principles that should guide their conduct during their stay in Cuba. Young Bahamians who are currently studying in Cuba and graduates of various specialties also joined the ceremony. The meeting became a session for exchanging experiences and reflections from which everyone left satisfied.

The granting of these scholarships is also part of the celebrations for the 45th anniversary of the bilateral relations between The Bahamas and Cuba.

Around 70 young Bahamians have graduated in various specialties at Cuban universities.
