New Cuban health specialists arrive in Jamaica

Kingston, 2 October 2024. A group of new Cuban health professionals arrived at Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport this morning to join the Cuban Medical Brigade in Jamaica as part of the bilateral governmental agreement in this area and will serve in medical centres throughout the island.

The arrival of these new cooperants is a reflection of Cuba's commitment to strengthen its cooperation with CARICOM nations and contributes to reaffirming the historic relations of collaboration in the field of health between Cuba and Jamaica, initiated in 1977, which has allowed for quality health care and saved the lives of thousands of Jamaicans.
