The Second Meeting of Children and Young Cuban Residents in Ghana, was held at T-Havana Park in the city of Tema, under the auspicious of the Embassy of Cuba and the Association of Cuban Residents started when all the participants intonated the notes of the Cuban National Anthem.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, who was in charge of the opening and closing of the meeting, engaged in an interesting dialogue with the young generation, during which the young people and children explained their own rights and participated in an interesting exchange on Cuba and its national symbols.
The Cuban children and youth played with their parents and the staff of the Cuban Embassy showing their skills in traditional games. They also participated in a modeling contest.
One of the most interesting moments was when a young girl, accompanied by his mother and the attendants performed together the classic Cuban music “La Guantanamera”, as an expression of attachment to the national traditions. The Cuban food was present with the congrí, the tamal of maize and the roast pork.
The participants also ratified the solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and the right of the Cuban people to building their own destiny without interference from foreign actors. All of them condemned the blockade and demanded the devolution of the Cuban territory illegally occupy by the U.S. government. It was also adopted the Final Declaration of the Second Meeting of Children and Young Cuban Residents in Ghana.
