THE BAHAMAS, June 26, 2017.-This morning the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, paid a courtesy call on the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Darren Henfield, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
During the exchange, both sides reviewed the issues of interest, while pledging to continue working on the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked The Bahamas government for the continued support to Cuba against the blockade imposed by the United States. Besides, she extended an invitation to the Minister for an upcoming visit to the Caribbean nation.
The meeting was attended by Sheila Carey, Permanent Secretary, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Vanesa Ortega Guerrero, Second Secretary of the Cuban diplomatic mission in The Bahamas was also present.
