From Nigeria, tribute is paid to Camilo Cienfuegos

Nigeria, October 28th, 2021. The Lord of the Vanguard, Camilo Cienfuegos, was honored in Abuja. From this afternoon, the crowns made by Cuban and Nigerian hands sail in the waters of Lake Jabi.

The tribute organized by the Cuban embassy in Nigeria was joined by dear Nigerian friends, including the Honorable Prince Akiolu Moshood Kayode, President of the Nigeria - Cuba Friendship Group in the House of Representatives, the prominent Yoruba princess Olu Oladunni, and the artist Tar Ukoh, Mambisa, Medal of Friendship; also the Heads of Mission of Angola, Algeria, Palestine, Western Sahara and Venezuela. Also members of the Solidarity Movement and graduates in Cuba

During the opening of the ceremony, the Cuban ambassador Clara Pulido Escandell highlighted the values and example of the Lord of the Vanguard, so relevant to take into account at this time and also referred to the deep patriotic tradition of throwing flowers into the sea, rivers and lakes dedicated to Camilo.
