Night of Tributes to Commandante Fidel Castro

A political and cultural activity was held at the Freedom Center in Accra, in Tribute to the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, as part of the program organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana in coordination with the embassy of Cuba, and the participation of members of the Diplomatic Corps and friends of Cuba.

Kwesi Pratt, Leader of the Socialist Forum of Ghana; Kwesi Quartey, Secretary of the President of Ghana; Albie Walls, a member of the Revolutionary Party of All African Peoples (A-APRP), and other friends of Cuba expressed their admiration for the Commander-in-Chief. They all addressed various facets of Fidel's life and work, emphasizing in his relationship with the African continent and with Ghana in particular.

The Cuban Ambassador, Pedro L. Despaigne Gonzalez thanked the organizers of the activity and stressed the importance of the figure of Fidel Castro in the construction of the Cuban Revolution and gave assurance that Cuba will continue defending the socialist ideas and the legacy of the Commander.

The culture was present in the program through some artists, who performed songs and allegorical poems to Fidel. The Staff of the Cuban Embassyand the Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade participated in the activity.
