Oslo, August 4, 2025. At the rally held on July 26th at Eidsvoll Square in this city, on the occasion of Cuba´s National Rebellion Day, Paulius Eidukas, Oslo and Akershus district leader of the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP) and Vice President of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, conveyed congratulations to ICAP on its 65th anniversary. In his speech, the young Paulius said:
"In 1960, Fidel Castro gave a speech in Havana, in what has since become known as the First Declaration of Havana, and in it he recalled, that it is, I quote: “the duty of oppressed and exploited nations to fight for their liberation; the duty of each nation to make common cause with all the oppressed, colonized, exploited peoples, regardless of their location in the world or the geographical distance that may separate them.”
"On this principle, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples was founded by Fidel that same year, and since then, for 65 years, it has been tirelessly working with solidarity groups and political activists all around the world, in building the necessary bonds of shared struggle and proletarian internationalism. I would like to forward them our sincere congratulations on this anniversary on behalf of the Communist Party of Norway".
