The Norway-Cuba Friendship Association holds its Annual Meeting.

Oslo, March 17, 2025.  Last Saturday, the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association held its Annual Meeting.  A new board was elected for the period 2025-2026. Olga Valentina Osses became the new president and Pauluis Eidukas, the new vice president.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres attended the closing segment, where she made a presentation on the current situation in Cuba. Among other issues, she addressed the impact of the re-inclusion of the country in the spurious list of State sponsors of terrorism, as well as the consequences of the U.S. blockade on the Cuban economy and the living conditions of the population.  She also commented on the measures against Cuba announced by the new U.S. administration.

The diplomat took the opportunity to thank once again the Association and its members for its strong and permanent support for the Cuban Revolution. She also recognized the work done by Cihan Karakoc during his five-year term as president of the Association. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
