Norway is present in the 64 Nordic Brigade of Solidarity with Cuba

Oslo, December 15, 2022. With a delegation made up of 5 members, Norway is present at the 64th Edition of the Nordic Brigade of  Solidarity with Cuba, which began on December 14 and will last until January 2, dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero, José Martí, and the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

After a warm reception at Julio Antonio Mella International Camp (CIJAM), in Caimito, Artemisa province, the inauguration ceremony took place, chaired by Noemí Rabaza, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).  Cihan Karakoc, president of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, had the honour to speak on behalf of the participants.

At a special moment, a mango tree was planted in the Camp, as a symbol of friendship between Cuba and the European countries.

Together with friends from Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom, the Norwegians will fulfill an extensive program of activities and share unforgettable days with the Cuban people. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
