Oslo, October 30, 2024. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway invited the Cuban Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, to a farewell visit as the end of her mission is approaching after four years of intense work for the development of the relations between the two countries.
The new Director General of the Department for Protocol, Cultural Relations and Consular Affairs, Vibeke Rysst-Jensen, hosted the meeting, which was also attended by Henrik Malvik, Director of the Section for Diplomatic Relations, as well as Aslaug Nygård and Kaja Sannerud Andersen, Director and official in in charge of the desk of Cuba, respectively, in the Section for Latin America and Caribbean.
Vibeke Rysst-Jensen acknowledged the work carried out by the Cuban Ambassador since her arrival in Norway in 2021 and wished her success in her new responsibilities.
The Ambassador, for her part, expressed that it was an honor for her to represent Cuba in Norway and thanked everyone at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support and collaboration during her tenure. (Cuban Embassy in Norway)
