Oslo, September 11, 2014. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, was received by Tomas Norvoll, State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
In a cordial meeting, both expressed their willingness to work for the development of the relations between Cuba and Norway, based on the possibilities and potential existing in the two countries in the economic and commercial fields.
The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to deliver to the State Secretary a letter addressed to the Minister Cecilie Myrseth by the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, conveying congratulations on her recent appointment and inviting her to visit Cuba within the framework of the 40th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2024), which will take place from November 4 to 9.
Present alongside the Secretary of State were Håvard Figenschou Raaen and Jørgen Lien, Deputy Director and Higher Executive Officer, respectively, of the Ministry's Trade Policy Department.
The Cuban Ambassador, for her part, was accompanied by the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Daffne Ernesto Mirabal García. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
