Oslo, October 1, 2024. From September 23 to 27, the Cuban provinces of Villa Clara and Cienfuegos hosted the third edition of the training course for Cuban union leaders, organized in collaboration between the Norwegian Union of Municipal and State Employees (FAGFORBUNDET) and the National Union of Public Administration Workers of Cuba (SNTAP).
The course aimed to contribute to comprehensive training in Labor Law, with special attention to two important topics: collective bargaining of labor agreements and the fight against discrimination, violence and harassment at work.
The course was attended by Odd Haldgeir Larsen, vice president of FAGFORBUNDET, and Hans Kristian Stenesto, advisor to the International Department, who shared their experience and knowledge with the Cuban participants. On the Cuban side, the course was led by Yaisel Osvaldo Pieter Terry, SNTAP´s National Secretary General.
The III FAGFORBUNDET-SNTAP International Course provided a space for the exchange of experiences, mutual learning and the promotion of a constructive dialogue between unions and the administration, for the benefit of the labor and social development of Cuba. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
