Lahore, July 26, 2026. In response to an invitation from the President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ambassador of Cuba, Damián Cordero, paid an official visit to the "Faisalabad" Expo, which took place at the exhibition center in the city of Lahore.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the Industries and Production Division, who delivered a speech recognizing the businesses and producers participating in the exhibition.
Accompanied during the tour by Mr. Zahid M. Ahmad, General Coordinator of the exhibition, the Cuban Ambassador praised the quality of the region's products and expressed interest in various export offerings. Both parties agreed on the potential to foster institutional exchanges to explore future trade opportunities.
Faisalabad, located in Punjab province, is considered the country's primary industrial hub and one of its most economically active cities.
