Azerbaijani young people paid tribute to the legacy of Ernesto Che Guevara on the 50th anniversary of his fall in combat, in a meeting held between members of the New Azerbaijan youth organization with the Cuban ambassador in Baku, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.
In the tribute, the Cuban diplomat stressed that Che is a paradigm for many young people in the world who fight for dignity and human dignity.
Nieves Portuondo also highlighted the activities carried out in Cuba and the world on such a significant date and that the fighting spirit of the Cubans and Latin Americans is the best tribute to Che and to all those who gave their lives for Latin American unity.
Special moment was the presentation of the newspaper of the guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara, translated into the Azerbaijani language by the translation center of the Council of Ministers of this Caucasian nation.
In his personal diary, Che gives a detailed account of seven months of vicissitudes of the guerrilla he led in Bolivia until he was killed by instructions from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States.
