The Bahamas, 14 October 2018. The new Cuban victory at the International Cultural Festival was outright. The biggest island of the Antilles, retained the Best in Show Prize at the International Cultural Festival, as well as the First Place of the Caribbean area.
Under the theme "This is my Havana", the love legend surrounding the figure of "La Giraldilla", the oldest symbol of the city, was highlighted. Other attractions of the capital of all Cubans such the visual arts, the handicrafts and the local cuisine had also leading roles.
As in previous years, the Cuban area received hundreds of visitors, attracted by the colors, the flavors and the contagious Cuban rythms. The Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Honorable Dr. Hubert Minnis, who exchanged with exhibitors and guests, was one of the highlights.
With around 25 000 visitors every year, the Bahamas International Cultural Festival takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this Caribbean nation. The event is aimed at fostering the relations between The Bahamas and other nations and showcasing the cultural richness of the resident communities. This year 20 countries of North America, Latin American, the Caribbean and Asia were represented.
